Does my grandson need prayer? In the Bible “backsliding” is a bad thing!
My grandson seems to be “backsliding”. Should this be a concern?
He’s 6 months old now!
He has started sliding and scooting backwards and sometimes gets himself stuck under the couch a bit! He thinks it’s the “end of the world”! Then he squawks and his Mummy or Daddy comes to help him! Poor little fella!

Ecclesiastes 8.6
Of course, there are many reasons for mankind to be miserable. But, because this is from the book of Ecclesiastes, where God led Solomon to write with a fair bit of cynicism (scepticism), and even satire at times, let’s stick right to the context here, and let’s just go ahead and ask the question: Why is “the misery of man great upon him”?
Why are we so miserable sometimes?

Genesis 12.1
It is very interesting to see several of the verses from this chapter in Genesis come together…
“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country… unto a land that I will shew thee… (then verse 5) and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. (and verse 10) And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt…”
