That sounds pretty good! Basically, “I’ve done the right thing and now God is giving me what I deserve!” Amen!
But that is only part of the verse... “Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.”
Galatians 3:26
The object of our faith matters!
Someone who says that they are a born again Christian is saying that they have put their… “faith in Christ Jesus”. Not in doing “good” things. Like, being a good person, going to church, giving money to a church or a charity; or saying a lot of prayers, or praying to Mary, the saints, or beads or icons.

When I was reading my Bible the other morning this phrase hit me! At first, I couldn’t figure out why it stopped me in my tracks, because I know this verse very well. In fact, most Christians know this verse very well!
Matthew 5.2
What did Jesus actually teach? If we ask the average person today what they know about the teachings of Jesus Christ they would probably say: "He taught about love and things like the “Golden Rule – ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’"
But Jesus taught so much more. Jesus taught many more things that are just as important!
JESUS TAUGHT the truth of God’s love.
