“ye have made it…”
God’s House. This was the Temple in Bible times, today it is the local church, see 1 Timothy 3.15.
Jesus is talking to people who made a business out of what they did at the Temple, which was mainly selling animals for sacrifices, and money exchange. It was their business and often dishonest and corrupt.
Who… is saying… what? In the above verse, who is saying this???
I was fascinated when I read this recently… because I’ve read this many times before. This is one of the most familiar stories in the Bible, and it’s easy to think…
“we already know what this is about…”
And then miss what God may be saying to us right here, right now!
We may miss an incredible IMPACT!
Jeremiah 5.22
Have you ever seen someone hold back one of the most powerful forces of nature with one of the tiniest things on earth?
Think about it… water is a powerful thing, yet it is held back by tiny grains of sand!
God claims that He did that!
The God of the Bible. The God of creation. The Lord Jesus Christ!

This is God speaking to the first Jew, Abraham. Below is more of what the Lord said to Abraham.
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3
