In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Sometimes we wonder, “What is God’s will for my life?”  “What does God want me to do with my life?”  And, or we ask, “What does God have next for me in my life?”  Basically, “What IS God’s will for me!?”

Sure, we may be waiting on a few things like that, but for now… “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God”.

While we wait for some things, we can know it’s God’s will for us to be thankful!

And while we work at being thankful “in every thing”, we are reminded about God’s will in something else: 1 Timothy 2.4 tells us about God, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Its Gods will for us to tell others how to be saved!  Yes, man does have a free will, and can choose to accept or reject Christ for himself, but it is God’s will for men, and women and boys and girls to be saved!  And it’s our privilege to tell them how to be saved!

So, as we start looking at a New Year, let’s make sure God is first in our life!  And while we wait for whatever the Lord may have next for us, let’s remember these two things about God’s will:

It’s God’s will for us to be thankful, and its Gods will for us to tell others how to be saved.
