“there hath not failed one word of all his good promise”

(1 Kings 8.56b)

What a verse!

“there hath not failed one word of all his good promise”  Just those few words tie together the entire Bible for us:  From the first words of the Bible,  “In the beginning God created…”, to the last “Amen”there hath not failed one word of all his good promise… (Genesis 1.1, Revelation 22.21).

UNBELIEVABLE!

Actually no – it is not so unbelievable, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11.6).

We are so blessed, so “rewarded”, to have so much of God’s Word and of God’s Promises.  From having such “peace” when it is beyond our “understanding” – Philippians 4.7, and assurance to “know” for sure we are going to heaven – John 10.28-29, 1 John 5.13, to the good life here and now that we have to “enjoy” – Joshua 1.15

We can thank the Lord - “there hath not failed one word of all his good promise” – none have ever failed, and none will ever fail!
