“My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.”

Psalm 104.34

We hear a lot about “meditation” these days.  So often the way it is described today it is something born again Christians should avoid!  But it IS a BIBLE WORD and for us it simply means to think about something, to muse with ourselves, or “babble” with our selves.  It has also been defined as like a cow sitting there in the shade “chewing the cud”.

“My meditation of him shall be sweet:

I will be glad in the LORD.”

How often I need to be reminded that thinking about the Lord is exactly what I need to be doing.

How He saved me...  and why He saved me is really beyond me!  But good to think about!  He loves me!

How He keeps me.  How He keeps and protects those I love.  How He knows what we need today, and tomorrow – and we choose to trust Him!

Then I’m reminded to do what verse 33 says, I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.”
