“be ready always to give an answer… of the hope that is in you”

1 Peter 3:15

Are we ready for the New Year?

Are we ready to tell someone how to get to heaven?

Can we share the gospel?  Can we tell someone the good news, in a simple and straight forward way, like the thief on the cross?  He understood it so well!

“we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me... And Jesus said unto him… To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:41-43

The thief understood sin and repentance.  He had changed his mind and “owned” his sin.  He understood that Jesus was without sin, Jesus was the Lord, and that Jesus could save him.  So he asked Him to save him!  He called upon the name of the Lord!

Honesty.  Truth.  Belief.  Repentance.  Faith.  Grace!

“the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” “all have sinned” “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 2.4; 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10.13

Salvation is NOT easy, but it is SIMPLE!

Are you saved?  Can you tell your loved ones how to get to heaven?  BE THAT PERSON!  “be ready always…” “the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3
