“And the Lord added to the church...”

Acts 2:47

God helps people find a local church to join.  If you would like to join Valley Baptist Church, we would love to have you!  Please consider the following thoughts and verses:

  • Why do you think you should join a church?  Acts 2.41, Ephesians 3.10, 20-21, Matthew 16.18
  • Are you able to share your testimony of salvation, (your story of how you became a Christian) with others?  1 Peter 3.15
  • Have you been baptised in a local, independent Baptist church of like faith and practice as Valley Baptist Church?  Matthew 3.1-17; Matthew 21.23-27, Matthew 28.18-20, Acts 2.41
  • Are you willing to be baptised if clear evidence of scriptural baptism cannot be confirmed?  Acts 19.1-5
  • Have you read our “Brief Statement of Faith”?  Available on our web site, www.vbc.org/what-we-believe (Our Church Constitution is also available on request.)  1 Corinthians 14.40, Jude 1.3
  • Are you willing to do your best to attend the worship services of Valley Baptist Church? Hebrews 10.25 (Sunday morning, evening and Wednesday)

Joining a church has NOTHING to do with becoming a born again Christian!  It is only after a person has become a Christian that they should be baptized and join a local New Testament Baptist church.

God has a good church for every one of us!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Pastor or one of our members.
