“For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth,”

Ezekiel 18.32

Reading through the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations and Ezekiel can be difficult!  These books are full of “doom and gloom”!

Actually, these books are just a True Record of how people were living at the time and God, well, God simply… records… it…

And so… why does it always have to be “God’s fault”…?  God was only recording how people lived and the results of their life choices.  Yet we often struggle with what the Bible records… Why?

What record is God keeping of our day and time?  He only records the True Record.  Certainly, we see what is going on in today’s world…?

We are told that there is trouble with the planet (environment), global economy, corrupt governments, confused people, employment, health, war… the forecast is one of “doom and gloom” – and all this from “NON–GOD” sources!

So why is it still “God’s fault”?

Well, it’s not God’s fault at all, in fact God, and the Word of God are the only things that offer hope!

“For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.” Ezekiel 18.32

“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD,

I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked;

but that the wicked turn from his way and live:

turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die…?”

Ezekiel 33:11

The books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations and Ezekiel… tell us A LOT MORE about HOPE than of “doom and gloom”!  Praise God!

Do you KNOW this God as your personal Saviour?  Do you read His Word?  Are you a faithful part of a church doing His work?

“I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth…”
