“…the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Romans 8:26

The story is told of a grandfather who was walking through his yard when he heard his granddaughter repeating the alphabet in a tone of voice that sounded like prayer.

He asked her what she was doing.

The little girl explained: “I’m praying, but I can’t think of exactly the right words, so I’m just saying all the letters, and God will put them together for me because He knows what I’m thinking.”

That’s a great illustration of what prayer is like sometimes!  “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26

So just keep praying!

Keep sending those prayers to the throne of grace where we are told to come boldly!  “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)  Keep praying until God gives an answer!  The answer may be “No”, the answer may be “Yes”, the answer may be “Wait”, or the answer may be, that we don’t need to concern ourselves with whatever it is anymore… but just keep praying.
