“…the LORD was not able…”

Numbers 14:16

Happy New Year…! …?  “…the LORD was not able…”

Sadly that’s how some people went through last year and are now beginning this year…“…the LORD was not able…”

The Jews were too scared to go into the Promised Land, so God said He would “disinherit” them, then Moses prayed and said, LORD if You disinherit these people everyone will think it’s… “Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.” (Numbers 13 & 14:12-16)

“…the LORD was not able…”

But Hebrews says this about Jesus Who is the LORD God, “…he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him...” (Hebrews 7:25)

So, how will we try to get through 2020?

Option #1 - “…the LORD was not able…”

Option #2 - “…he is able…”

Oddly enough God answered the prayer of those fearful people who didn’t want to follow God, they didn’t “make it”… “As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness...” (Numbers 14:28-29)

So, are you saved?  Then may our prayer be, “Lord help us to live this year by faith and NOT by fear!
