Yet Trouble Came

“…yet trouble came.” - Job 3.26

Somehow that doesn’t sound very good…

“…yet trouble came.”

Here Job says that he is struggling.  He says that his life is difficult and he is seriously and honestly trying to understand why this is so.

He is not ignoring the issues, whatever they may be.  He is not trying to avoid any responsibility.  He is not trying to think these troubles will “just go away”… he states, “I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet…”

“…yet trouble came.”

Sometimes things do not make sense.  But as born again believers we learn it is still “Okay”… “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.”

“Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out”

For whatever reason – we are best off trusting His power, judgment and justice.

Run with patience,

Pastor
