Whose tomb is... empty?

...but the righteous hath hope in his death.” - Proverbs 14.32

Whose tomb is... empty?

The above verse says, “The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.”

It’s the last part of the verse that always strikes me: “but the righteous hath hope in his death.”

Man was not created to die.

Death is not “natural” - even though we are taught to think it is!  Death is something that came because of sin.  We were created to live forever in the image of God.  That was the plan – but death passed upon all men - all have sinned.   Yes, God did know that man would sin and that death would come, so He planned Salvation through the shed blood of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.  And now, through the sinless life of Christ, His death, His burial and His resurrection, whosoever will, may come to Christ and in His righteousness have eternal life - restoring the plan of God! (Romans 6.23, Genesis 1.27, 2.7, Romans 5.12, Mark 1.15, 1 Corinthians 15.1-4, Revelation 22.17, 2 Corinthians 5.21, John 3.16, 10.28-29)

Sadly, people will choose to live without Christ, others will trust their religion, some will deny all faith and religion... “but the righteous hath hope in his death.”

What about you, do you have hope... in your death?

Consider... Who can justify us and make us righteous before God?

Consider... Who can give hope in death?

Consider once again... Whose... tomb... is empty?
