... In the Way ...

(Based on Genesis 24.27)

This is a verse we revisit from time to time because of the way it gives us perspective.

Have you ever felt like you were just - “in the way”?

Life bustles this way and life bustles that way and you’re neither here nor there, you’re just “in the way”! Sometimes that is exactly where we need to be - as born again Christians - “in the way”! The above verse is speaking about a man who was working very hard to be a blessing to others.  He had prayed about being a help.  He had done all he could possibly do and before he knew it, he found that by being “in the way” the Lord was able to bless him and use him to be a blessing!  So he said, “I being in the way, the LORD led me”.

The next time you feel you are just “in the way”, or something like that - GOOD! Make the most of it!

Be “in the way” of a sinner going to a Christless Eternity!

Be “in the way” ready to ask, “What does the Bible say?”

Be “in the way” greeting someone with a smile.

Be “in the way” with an ear to hear a child’s story, with a word of encouragement for a lonely friend, with a sincere prayer for those we love...

Let’s just get in the way... in the Lord’s way... in someone’s way... so we can also say, “I being in the way, the LORD led me”!
