Unicorns?

“And the unicorns shall come down with them...”

What exactly is a unicorn?

Have you ever wondered?

A unicorn is a mythical creature.  Or so, most of the dictionaries etc. will say today.

But in the above verse, in the context of the Lord’s return to earth to rule and reign with His saints, we are told, “And the unicorns shall come down with them...”

Not only does the Bible confirm that unicorns are a real animal, (unicorn is also mentioned as a real creature in Numbers 23:22, 24:8, Deuteronomy 33:17, Psalm 22:21, 29:6, and 92:10) but the Bible tells us we will get to see exactly what they are, and they will have a place in the world once again!

So, what exactly is a unicorn?  It is more than just some mystical being -  the temporary fantasy of fallen mankind!  But, is it a rhinoceros, or some sort of wild ox?  For now, we do not know... but we will know one day!  The Bible tells us that if we know the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour we will return to the earth with Him, “And the unicorns shall come down with them...”

God also tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”  So much to think about now, and look forward to later!
