Too hard for God?

“Is anything too hard for the LORD?” - Genesis 18:14

How often we think that we have some serious questions that God needs to answer for us.  Our life takes some twists and turns and we often look up and ask “Why?”

This verse in Genesis records the LORD having a question for us:

“Is anything too hard for the LORD?”

I think - as I study my Bible, that for every question that we have for God - He in turn has a question for us.  And the direction and comfort we need is found in us dealing with, and addressing His questions to us!

Ultimately we can find the answers we need - maybe not the ones we want, but the answers we need!

Is there a difficulty we face?  Did Abraham ever face difficulty?  Did David?  Did our Lord Jesus Christ?  Is there a loved one still lost?  Did someone pray for us while we were yet without Christ?  Is there a memory still painful?  Is there a dream we once had that has now faded?  Questions… questions…

Answer those questions with this one: “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”

One day God will wipe all the tears away from our eyes (Revelation 7:17) and listen to what Jeremiah said, a man who had more questions than you or I will ever have most likely:  “Ah Lord GOD! Behold…there is nothing too hard for thee:” (Jeremiah 32:17)
