I will go in the strength of the Lord

“I will go in the strength of the Lord”

Psalm 71.16

“Go. GO. GO!

Whew!  Sometimes it makes me tired just to think about it!  Even though I do believe, and often say, “Busy people are happy people”, sometimes we just seem to go, go, go - all the time without a break!

So when I go, I need to remember: “I will go in the strength of the Lord”.   This verse reminds me of Galatians 6.9, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”  If the Lord wants me to do something, if it is worth doing then I must ask, “Lord, help me not to “be weary in well doing;”

For me, I often need to take a step back and ask the Lord, “What are my priorities here Lord?”  I could go here, or I could go there, but what does the Lord want me to do, and what He know to be best for my walk with Him, and for my family, and church?  It is then I see things most clearly.

The Lord shows me the things that are good for us.  He shows me the places we go and the people we are around that are a blessing now, and for our future.  The Lord encourages me to make the effort and put in the time - He helps me to claim the promise: “I will go in the strength of the Lord.  Then at the end of the day, we can say, “We have done what we could” (Mark 14.8).

Run… with patience!
