I Had Fainted...

“I had fainted, unless I had believed...” - Psalm 27.13

Ever feel like that?

Ever need that sort of reminder?

I was going over Psalm 27 this past week, and I have probably read this phrase, and quoted the verse a hundred times – literally!  But when I was going over it this past week it struck me just like that,

“I had fainted, unless I had believed...”

For whatever else the passage says – and it says a lot of helpful things, but whatever else it says it says, “I had fainted, unless I had believed...”

Do you ever wonder if maybe you’re going to “faint”?  Ever think that you are “weary in well doing” and your spiritual cup is going dry?  Then believe!  “I had fainted, unless I had believed...”

Believe what the Bible says!  Believe our God can keep us from... fainting!  Believe there is a “city whose builder and maker is God”!  Believe Jesus is coming again!

I can honestly say with the Psalmist - “I had fainted, unless I had believed...”

“I had fainted, unless I had believed

to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage,

and he shall strengthen thine heart:

wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Run with patience,
