Hid

“…hid…” - Psalm 119.11

I am glad that sometimes there is just one word from the Bible that the Holy Spirit keeps in our hearts to think about.

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that might not sin against thee.”

It would be nice to memorize lengthy passages of scripture, but there are times I’m just glad the Lord brings a word or two to mind because I need any of it, and all of it that I can get!  And whether I can remember the exact passage or not – at least there Is something “hid” and kept for when I might need it.

“In the beginning God…” not scientists… not “me”, but God!

“The LORD is my shepherd…”  He is mine… is He yours?

“For God so loved the world…” aliens? Martians?  No, “the world”

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…” I am a sinner and Christ came to save me!

May the Lord help us hide His Word in our hearts, and may we be able to say, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that might not sin against thee.”

Run with patience,

Pastor
