He Heareth The Prayer of The Righteous

“he heareth the prayer of the righteous”

Proverbs 15.29b

Do we ever pray, and it feels like our prayers just bounce off of the ceiling?  Are there times we pray and it doesn’t feel like we are praying?  Do sometimes we pray and forget that we have prayed?

As normal people we often go around and around with something as abstract as prayer but - for those who are saved, and living “right” God always hears their prayers and is ready to answer according to His will.

Prayer for the Christian becomes like breathing.  We need it.  We enjoy it.  We get to where we just have to have it even though there are times we feel we don’t understand a thing about it!

Anywhere, anytime.  Everywhere and all the time.  Often early in the day as part of our Bible reading and devotion, or throughout the day, or sometimes late.  Sometimes from a list, from our heart, people and names, situations and things.  Sometimes prayer is planned – but often it’s not.  Prayers of need.  Prayers of fear.  Prayers of love.  Prayers of struggle.

“he heareth the prayer of the righteous”

Silent prayer.  Personal prayer.  Public prayer.  Prayer as a church.  PRAYER at every opportunity!  It is the most powerful, unseen, unstoppable method of communication in the universe, and it is at our disposal 24/7! Someone once said, “A family that PRAYS together STAYS together.”  I believe the same is true for a church: “A church that PRAYS together STAYS together and gets the job done!”
