And the Spirit bade me go

Boy walking on path

“And the Spirit bade me go…

nothing doubting.”

(Acts 11:12)

We can have confidence that God helps us every day.

How?

Because we have His Word!  In the above verse Peter is telling how he was struggled with a decision.  He knew what he had been taught, he knew what the Word of God said, but God was teaching Him more now and he needed to see it for himself, “the Spirit bade me go…” and he needed to trust the Lord,“nothing doubting.”

May we see that the Bible is truly the living Word of God. “For the word of God is quick…” alive, like “quick” sand. (Hebrews 4:12)

We can trust the Word of God by faith – every day of our life, with every decision, with every difficulty – the Bible has always been there for us!

It all began when He saved us by His grace, when we put our faith in Him, turning from our sin – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves” “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” (Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10.13, 2:4)

I am so glad that I am saved and that I can trust His leading in my life!  Are you saved?  Do you trust His leading in your life?  Could you tell someone where has that led you lately?  “And the Spirit bade me go… nothing doubting.”

Run with patience,

Pastor
