All Scripture Is Given

“All scripture is given…” - 2 Timothy 3.15

I am so glad I didn’t evolve from some “goo” somewhere!

No plan.  No purpose.  No rhyme.  No reason.  No hope.  No future - just “hanging around” for the next million years (or so) waiting for the next… the next… something, I guess.

NO!!!  God, our Creator, gave us the Bible.  “All scripture is given…” He gave it to us for a reason, and that basic reason is “that we may know”! (1 John 5.13! Job 19.25! 2 Timothy 1.12!)  That we can know, from “the beginning”  (Genesis 1.1, John 1.1) to “the end” (Revelation 22.13)  “God so loved the world that he gave” (John 3.16)!

“All scripture is given…”  All we need to know we can learn from the Bible.  God gave us the Bible to

 help us.

God wants us to understand the Bible.  His purpose was not to confuse us – “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace”! (1 Corinthians 14.33)

In this world of confusion, distrust and insecurity we can be assured: God gave us the Bible!
