…yet trouble came.

Woman in despair

“…yet trouble came.”

Job 3.26

Somehow that doesn’t sound very good

                                                                                     “…yet trouble came.”

Here Job says that he is struggling.  He says -

that his life is difficult and he is seriously and honestly trying to understand why it is so.

He is not ignoring the issues, whatever they may be.  He is not trying to avoid any responsibility.  He is not trying to think these troubles will “just go away”… he states, “I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet…”

“…yet trouble came.”

Sometimes things do not make sense.  But as born again believers we learn it is still OK… “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.”

“Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out”

For whatever reason – we are best off trusting His power, His judgment (decisions for our life) and His justice (what He says is right for us).

When we do, we will can have that peace that passes all understanding - Philippians 4.7

Run with patience,
